This page was developed with ChatGPT.
See: the chat.
What:Weekly update on r/winterarc
What: Toilet leaked when flushed.
Learned: Problem was with the seal on the pipe from the cistern (flush panel) to the bowl. Took plumber less than an hour to fix. Hardest bit was getting the cabinet off the toilet, and then checking everything (leak finding).
Felt Good: Getting this done. Another home problem solved.
Felt Bad: Took me ages to get a plumber and resolve this. Fear of getting a bad plumber, not knowing who was good, getting ripped off, work being more expensive etc. FEAR.
What: A place on the web to keep my done stack - and foster momentum.
Learned: Just use ChatGPT to create simple, effective HTML pages and include them on my dev blog.
Felt Good: Getting this done quickly. Another useful thing shipped.
Felt Bad: Nicer styling etc would be good. Having a script to generate the HTML would be nice... but does it matter yet? Nope.
What: Intro blog post for Winter Arc series.
Learned: Ship short posts. Write colloquially. Include images
Felt Good: Unblocking myself by shipping a small post rather than what I was planning which could be a whole series of posts.
Felt Bad: Took a bit too long to do. Got myself stuck, when I could have just shipped.
What: Simple HTML/CSS grid with a bit of JS. See it here.
Learned: How quickly AI can spit out a simple and useful idea.
Felt Good: Shipped fast.
Felt Bad: Took a bit too long to do - rusty with my Ruby.
What: More control of blog and styling.
Learned: how to strip out themes from lume. Better understanding of lume.
Felt Good: AI made this a lot easier, specifically Gemini. See this chat.
Felt Bad: Sense of mystery about home lume works.
